Of Saving Gas and Showing Off Son

Last Thursday, Mikey and I visited my aunt and uncle in Billerica, its about 60 miles away from our place straight off 95 North. But since the last time I filled up my tank, gas price was at $4.11 a gallon, hb and I decided to just use one car, drop him off to work then we'll proceed to aunt's. His work is not actually along the way, its off 495 North. I drive an SUV and oh boy did it suck up a quarter of a tank just one way. It's really a pain to drive anywhere these days, but it's good to see my aunt and uncle again after about three months. And they were so delighted to be with Mikey because he's changed in that span of time. He was talking a lot and communicating very well, and he understood and repeated everything they say so it was fun.

When we dropped off hb at work, he was the proud dad showing off his son to everybody at work. In the morning not a lot of people were there yet, so he told me to be back around 5pm so everybody will be there since they will be all in a meeting. I was a little bit late because it was rush hour, some have already left, but we still met several. I was so thrilled to see how proud hb was showing off his son to everybody and telling them about Mikey's antics. I met his big bosses for the first time but I've met most of his co-workers in the past already. Its good to see them again, but its even better to see the look at hb's face while showing his unico hijo ;-)
