From top to bottom - Lavender, Hydrangea, Marigold and Black Eyed Susan. Mikey couldn't resist the sweet smell of Lavender, I just told him to smell the flowers and he tried to eat them ;-).

My Summer Flowers
After our regular afternoon walk, Mikey and I went to my garden to cut some of my summer flowers. Cut flowers arranged in vases gave some colors and a little fragrance (except for the Marigolds) inside the house. I mix herbs with other plants in the garden but I don't usually use them for cooking. I just love the clean fragrance that the herbs release and they surely compliment other plants as well. The ones I use for cooking I just keep inside the house in pots. Here are some of the photos I took of my flowers.

I love Hydrangeas, mine are blue and white. I saw dark pink ones in Venice. Marigold is actually a skin irritant so you might want to place it somewhere high up so Mikey cannot reach it.
