Great Finds

A year ago, I discovered a consignment store that sells used children's stuff at very affordable prices, and I became a regular client ever since. Children grow like weeds and it gets too expensive to buy them new toys and clothes all the time. Plus the fact that we have four seasons here in US justifies the reason to not buy too many at a time. The clothes that might be too big last winter may not fit anymore this year's winter. I usually go to the consigment store once a month and all the time I will get something that my son will need for the season. And my latest finds were these snow boots and chunky lighted shoes for everyday-cold-weather wear. I only spent $14.99 for both, and they're almost brand new. I wouldn't mind getting stuffs like these as he may just use them for the rest of the fall and whole winter, and by next year we will buy new pairs again.

  2. Thats it!! they only wear that for one season,,, so you dont need to get a new pair while you can get something as good as new...
I've got a friend who gives me her kids clothes and I keep them till it fits my children,, and I do the same too,, pass it to friends kids....

  3. I love consignment stores!

You're right about our kids growing like weeds and there's no sense in buying new ones and we them for a month or two.

Now that you mention it, I was thinking of going to the one right by our house. My little one needs long sleeve shirts. I'm stretching the ones she have, lol, just to make it fit.
