My Husband the Good Samaritan

When we went to Boston yesterday we took the commuter rail from our town and left our car in the parking area. Hb parked it way too far from the tracks so he just let me wait while he got the car. And also because I was carrying my son who fell asleep on our way back. All the people who got off the train were gone except me and one guy who seemed very restless. He was looking at me and asked if there were taxis coming in the parking lot. So I asked him back if he called a taxi company to pick him up. Then without replying he just turned his back and walked to the public phone, so I thought that maybe he was following up on his taxi. And then hb arrived, I put my son in his car seat, I got in and then hb started to back up. Then I told him about the guy and hb decided to stop and park to help the guy.

The guy was Irish and its very difficult to understand him talk. So hb helped him by calling the taxi company to get a taxi for him, but unfortunately there was no available taxi to pick up the guy. Apparently he didn't call any taxi company at all, so he was just trying his luck that a taxi will come by. So hb volunteered to give him a ride without even asking where he lived. The guy was homeless and was carrying a black garbage bag of maybe all his belongings. He had a very sad story. He used to own condo units around town and twice he had foreclosure and was evicted. And to make matters worse he was also suffering from epilepsy. Poor guy! To think that this guy used to own condo units and now he is homeless made us realize how lucky we still are. We can only hope that this crisis will end already. I'm proud of my hb, he's really a good Samaritan.
