My hb and I have talked about going back to the gym again. Since he works from home at most times, we can switch watching our little tot while the other one is working out. It's good to get stamina especially now that my son doesn't take a nap in the afternoon anymore. He's not like other kids who can play by themselves for a long time. He's more into interactive play so he's practically all over me during the day. At night I feel like all my energy has been sucked out. So going back to the gym would not only provide a natural fat burner for me but would provide me the stamina to get into my daily activities.

Wishful Thinking
Browsing through a home magazine made me want to do house makeover. If only my hb and I met and married before he built his house, I would have done the interiors differently. I would have built a separate laundry room and a walk-in pantry. My kitchen would have been a lot bigger and I would have installed stone sinks in the bathroom. Now these are all wishful thinking unless I hit the jackpot in the lottery. Oh first of, I should buy a ticket too, lol.

Driving in the Philippines
Driving in the Philippines can be very stressful. What used to be reached in less than an hour would take two or so hours to reach now. The traffic gets worse every time I visit. It seems that the number of vehicles especially motorcycles just keep increasing but the roads just stay as bad as they were. If only the transportation system there is good enough I would much rather not drive through the ridiculous traffic, but I've got no choice. It is a necessity for me to drive no matter what. But it usually takes me a week or so to get used to driving in the Philippines again. It takes a while to get the confidence back driving with undisciplined drivers on the road. I always gasp whenever somebody will cut me in or people will irresponsibly cross anywhere they wish to. The time I was there, I've seen quite a few motorcycle accidents in the news and most were fatal, its scary. I wonder if they could get similar help as what a Pleasanton motorcycle accident attorney could give?

Missing Furry Son
It's been almost two years since we lost our beloved furry son. I was cleaning up the closet the other day and saw all his toys and some dog supplies in a box. I still keep all his favorite toys. He loved to play with balls and he's got tons of them in different colors. My son saw the tennis balls and took one to play with. He knows it was Laddie's and would say "I borrowed this from Laddie". I'm not sure if we're ever ready to get another dog, though my son would love another one again. Maybe when he's a little bigger and old enough to take care for one, will I be convinced to get a new dog again. But for now, I'm better off just taking care of my two 'boys', if you know what I mean, lol. Yeah, it's a lot of work having dogs in the household especially puppies.

Weird Weather and Watching Diets
Last Sunday my husband and I thought we were watching a replay of one of the New England Patriot's games on tv. They were wearing red uniform and the field was covered in white snow. But the commentator mentioned about Brady's recent injury so it must be a live game. But why the hell was it snowing when it's not even Halloween yet? Then we looked at the window and it was pouring slush-like wet snow, geez it was real. Though I always complain about the hot weather in the Philippines while we were there, I still prefer warm more than cold weather.
On Wednesday and Thursday the temperature were on the 60's and 70's so I took advantage of taking my little tot to the playground with some of my girlfriends' kids because it might not happen again. My son loves the outdoor especially the sand box and the slides in the playground. I missed chatting with other moms and wearing just plain shirt and sweat pants and my crocks, so to the playground I came with those outfit. Today it's gonna be raining and the temperature will be in the 40's and 50's so we're stuck at home again. When I'm home in cold weather, I tend to cook and bake and eat. I should be watching my diet before I get into monitoring diet pill reviews again, lol. By the way, my husband is also serious about taking charge of his weight too. He said he will not eat much and not eat out often. I'm not sure how he will do it, especially now that he's always out of town on business trips.

Lost Enthusiasm
In one of my previous posts I was bragging about not gaining weight despite pigging out during my vacation and I planned to keep the weight off for good. But unfortunately I'm beginning to take on a few pounds again. Blame it on the cold weather, lol. Yup, cold weather makes me lazy and eat more. Since I got back to 'normal', I've been spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking again, therefore I eat a lot too. But I wish I could spend time in the gym with my girlfriends again, I miss working out with them. I told them I'll join them as soon as I come back from vacation but until now I couldn't find the time to swing by the gym yet. I hope to get back the lost enthusiasm of working out again. If I wait much longer I might need weight loss pills to keep up with my girlfriends' fit physique, lol.

Back to Normal
When I came back from our two-month vacation, I rarely had time to do my nightly routine of cleansing and moisturizing my face. I'd rather retire and grab a few winks after doing some chores than dabbing on under eye creams and moisturizer. They're simply not a priority for a jet-lagged mom with loads of chores to accomplish. For two weeks I was like a zombie trying to stay awake during the day to get on my daily routine. But last week, my sleeping time was finally 'normal' and I was able to attend to my daily business and more.

Missed the Beaches
I wish I had the chance to visit any beach while on vacation in the Philippines. I really miss the beach. Though we arrived at unusually very hot weather in the Philippines, it took a while to get adjusted to the new time zone. My son and I were asleep during the day for the first two weeks. That would have been perfect to stroll in the beach. Also my hb was not there yet to join us. By the time he arrived, it was always raining and we even experienced the wrath of typhoon Ondoy. Anyway, if we get the chance we can always visit beaches in destin fl maybe next summer vacation when our plans of going to Disney World materialize.

Going Back to a Dirty House
I never stopped cleaning the house since I arrived from our two-month vacation last Wednesday. I only rest when I couldn't fight sleepiness anymore. My bedtime is still on Philippine time zone. I went to bed today at 12 noon till 7pm. Even my son's sleeping time is still screwed up, he even takes a nap for two hours - 3am to 5am. So we're awake when everybody else is still sleeping or must have just gone to bed. Anyway, this is one of the downsides to a long vacation, going back to a dirty house ;-). But I don't regret it, wiping off the thick dust on the tv stand is nothing compared to the quality time I spent with my parents and siblings and some close friends, I would never trade that. Anyway, there's still a lot to clean here, but since the rooms that we frequent are already spotless, I'm now taking it easy going through the rest of the house.

Looking Ahead
Christmas is my favorite holiday of all, I love the festive mood that the colorful ornaments bring. It is also the busiest time of the year for me so I have a long list of things-to-do like decorating the house; shopping for gifts; sending out Christmas cards and hosting or attending parties. For the past years I've been sending out christmas photo cards of our son to all our loved ones and friends. I send out at least eighty cards in and out of the country. I usually send out cards abroad way ahead of time so they won't get stuck in the bulk of other holiday mails and packages in the post office. I normally have my son's photo cards done after Halloween so I have more time to write personal notes and mail them. I know it's not even Halloween yet and I'm already thinking about this, well it always pays to look ahead.
