Safeguarding My Family's Health

I'm used to sleeping surrounded with tons of pillows. I would be restless when I don't have pillows under my knees to elevate my legs and another pillow that I hug close to my face. My hb would sometimes kid me that I hug my pillows more than I hug him. But I just love the linen fresh fragrance of my pillows, I guess that's what helps me sleep soundly at night also. I'm not a germophobic, though I'm conscious about avoiding spread of germs by regularly changing my linens. Despite keeping my pillows fresh and clean, I notice how stuffy I get in the morning when I wake up.

It is disturbing to learn how mold, bacteria and dust mites could grow over time in the pillow since we breathe moisture into them when we sleep. On the other hand, it's assuring to find out that I can protect my family and myself from breathing harmful biological particles through the use of Healthy Dreams pillow. This
allergy pillow has Micrenza bio-filter that provides protection from germs, mold and allergens that cause congestion and infection. The safety of my family always comes first so I wouldn't allow these silent enemies attack at the time when we should be comfortably resting in bed. So I would invest on these pillows to safeguard my family's health.

Poor Eating Habits

My aunt called me one day complaining about constipation and later irritation and swelling of her anus. She's not very fond of drinking water and eating food rich in fibers so I was not surprised at all about her issues. I suggested for her to get this hemorrhoids cream that my father used to use that really gave him relief and so my aunt did. She was relieved alright but I told her to change her eating habits. This topical cream is only for temporarily relief. She needs to drink a lot of water for one thing and needs to include fruits and vegetables in her diet.

Increasing Stamina

I work out in the gym primarily to lose weight but also to gain more stamina to keep up with my very active toddler. I hope to replace my fats with lean muscles through lifting weights like how taking cell mass supplements would do. I usually work out on the days when my son is in school, that way I would have more time to exercise and concentrate on what I am doing. But I could also do it on non-school days because on those days the gym provides a babysitting service where I pay people to watch my son while I do my work outs. So there's no excuse anymore for me not to go to the gym.

Neglected Facial Routine

While on vacay I've neglected my regular facial routine. After each exhausting stroll of NYC I would be too tired to even wash my face. Now I have breakouts on my chin again, and it looks like I would need top acne treatment to get rid of them this time. Oh well, it was a nice break from my busy life in the home front so I guess I should not be complaining. An effective medicated cream will always do the tricks.

I Want a Flat Tummy

I look forward to Saturdays because its Zumba day. I really enjoy taking this aerobics class because I feel so good after sweating out the toxins in my body. I don't usually sweat this much when I do my regular workout, so I prefer to do Zumba before working out. After Zumba while my stamina is still very high, I would still lift weights and do crunches that build muscle fast. I could feel that my flabby abs is getting harder now, it means that the fats around my tummy area is being transformed into muscle already. I know I still have a long way to go and slowly but surely I want to achieve a flat tummy, so I hope to stick to my workout schedule at all cost.

For the Love of Good Food

When we went to New York this week for a brief vacation, I totally forgot about dieting and exercising. Who cares about counting calories and fat burner exercises when its your vacation? My husband is very fond of checking the Zagat rating of restaurants before trying them so we only go to restos with highly favorable ratings. We had lunch at Oriental Gardens in Chinatown and dinner at Cafe Napoli in Little Italy. The service and ambiance were really good and we enjoyed all the food. They were worth the confusing subway rides and long walks in a nasty weather too.

Work From Home

I love being a mom and I can't imagine leaving my son to the care of other people while I work outside of the house. I'm lucky that I can earn extra income from home while I can still watch over and enjoy my little son. For me a home-based business is the ideal way to go. I don't like to get tied to an eight-to-five job and not have much time with my family.

Business of My Own

I used to own a corporate give-away and school and office supplies business and I was my own business plan consultants. I also partnered with friends to do accounting services. I used to sell in school sweets and candies that my mom made. So at a very young age I developed this business sense that I got from my mom who did a lot of retail endeavors to help in the family's finances. Someday I would love to start a home-based business too so I can earn and still attend to my family's needs.

Temporarily Interrupted

I feel like chores never end. I always dream about taking some time off just to myself, meaning no kiddo's or hubby's needs to attend to. Yeah right. So since I'm stuck at home catching up on chores, I haven't been to the gym this week. I usually go to the gym when the little guy is in school, that way I could take my sweet time working out because I have three hours to spare. My weight loss program is temporarily interrupted, and here I go thinking about diets for quick weight loss again. But no, I still have tomorrow and Saturday to hit the gym. I need to stick to my twice a week appointment at the gym.

Daily Facial Routine

I'm sure most women if not all, share similar night rituals when it comes to caring for skin especially the face. We all know that we shouldn't go to bed with make-up on because make-up can really clog pores. I don't really wear make-up unless I need to go to a party and sometimes when I go to church. But on a daily basis, I would normally wear a dab of hypo-allergenic facial powder and a touch of chap stick or lipstick. I always wash with mild facial cleanser before applying SPF 15 day cream or night cream. That is pretty much my daily routine, very simple and easy.

On Acne Removal Cream

I mentioned in my last post that I'm prone to acne so I've got quite a few acne scars on my face. I'm not really bothered by them but I wouldn't mind trying some acne scar removal cream to help fade them off. Since I go to bed late, most shows on tv by that time would be paid programming ads. I saw a very enticing ad on acne scar removal cream that I am tempted to try. Apparently the cream can remove scars leaving no trace at all. But it is very pricey. I wish I could find a girlfriend who really tried the product so I would get any feedback before buying it. Of course I want to know if it really worked for her ;-).

Prone to Acne

You'd think that since it's cold and seems to have no dust here you wouldn't get acne anymore, but it's wrong. I still need to treat acne every now and then, even on winter season. I 'm prone to acne because I have oily skin that attracts pore clogging dirt. I go to bed really late and sometimes I neglect doing my night facial rituals so I end up having breakouts the following day. So I learned my lesson to clean my face before working in the computer so I would be ready to crash in bed whenever.

Brand New Treadmill

I have a second hand treadmill that is only collecting dust in the basement. I used to run on it all the time. But it came to a point where running alone became boring so the drive to lose weight just dwindled. Though I find more time to go to the gym nowadays, I still wish I could own a brand new treadmill at home, so I can still run whenever I want. I saw great deals on treadmills and elliptical machines online with very appealing nordic track coupons. This is something to think about.

Playing Curiosity Game

I can't really finish anything these days when my son is up and playing his curiosity game. It would have been nice if I can vacuum or mop the floor without him getting in the center of the action all the time. So the chore that would normally get done in a flash would take a long time to finish. Anyway, while writing this I finally get the washer running to finish up the rugs that must have been waiting there for two days now. Most chores are done around this time when my little tot is fast asleep in his room.
