Is It Really?

I love to blog but I'm not the blogger I used to be. I used to be on top of things, who knew everything that was going on about bloggers and most blog sites. I used to bloghop like you wouldn't believe and read blogs and leave comments too. But now I kind of laid low from the scene and I don't know much anymore about the blogosphere. I have to apologize for that. Even my own site I don't even bother to upgrade anymore. The layout is still the same from so many years ago. If only I had all the time in the world I would still love to do all such things. Also just by luck when I scrolled down the main page of this blog, I happen to notice that my site has a PR2. What do you know? Is it really? When before I would always check if Google has given me a PR, but now I really don't care till I laid eyes on that spot in the main page. I guess thank you Google is in order.

Love to Shop Online

I was browsing online for birthday gifts to give my girlfriends' kids with birthdays coming one after the other soon. Since I don't have time to shop in the mall considering my tight schedule, I'd rather shop online since I'm doing online course anyway. This is the best thing ever, I mean shopping online don't you think? While taking a break from reading, I could just switch windows and do shopping on the side. Aside from birthday gift ideas I also got easter basket gift ideas, after all Easter is just around the corner I might as well get gifts for the kids too.

Setting Right Priorities

I am on self-imposed break from all distractions in my study schedule. That is, no facebooking, no watching my fave tv shows (and to think DWTS and AI are on at the same season, argh!), no hanging out a lot with friends, no hours-long conversations on phone with family and friends, and the likes. Well, a little sacrifice will go a long way so to speak. My mind and heart are set for the goal!

Making a Change

I always complain about acne breakouts and how to remove dark circles around my eyes and yet I wouldn't stop staying up late almost every night. I lack quality sleep because I go to bed late. I'm more productive doing online course at night when everybody's asleep. But when I wake up in the morning with pimples on my chin and dark circles around my eyes, I would regret staying up late the night before, but the cycle goes on. I have to to learn how to change my study habits and sleeping pattern.

Games for Entertaining

I don't remember the last time I played with my xbox 360. I don't have time to even bother to do any computer games except when my son begs to play the wii games then I have to set it up for him. He loves playing the Indiana Jones and Cars games in xbox, but he yells for help when he gets to the hard part. I know I have xbox live subscription, I still have unused points that I can use to buy games online, hopefully they don't expire. I heard that xbox Kinect was good. I wanted to buy it last year for Christmas but I just put it off. I thought it might just be a waste of money since we've got two game consoles already that we seldom use. But it would be fun to add to entertainment when we host parties at home. I'm sure everybody will have a blast.

Little Mr. Everything

One of my son's dreams is to ride a horse just like an equestrian. Not only for the thrill of riding a horse but also for the excitement of wearing equestrian helmets and the outfits too. He's into pretend play these days, wearing costumes and dress-ups. But who knows what he wants to be next time? Well every night at bedtime if you ask him what he wants to be when he grows up, he'd come up with a new occupation each time. But for a long time he got stuck at wanting to become a chef, a doctor and a veterinarian. And then last week he wanted to be like his dada a Software Engineer and now an equestrian. I just look forward to seeing him succeed in whatever endeavor he'd pursue when he grows up. I just couldn't wait, but also not in a hurry to see that day. I still want to enjoy my little munchkin for as long as possible.

I Need a Miracle

Ahh two more chapters, two quizzes, a final project and final exams and I'm done with my second course. All these I have to get done by the end of March. Hell yeah! It's less than two days to go. I need to work wonders.

Perfect Compromise

I admire my sister in law for pursuing a career in nursing while in her early fifties. It just goes to show that education has no age limit. Now she's already a registered nurse professionally donning one of those stylish nurses uniforms. My hb actually suggested that I'd take the same course but my reply was a big nah. I don't have the heart to endure the sight of blood or the courage to poke needles on anybody. It's not my cup of tea. Hb's opinion is that anything in the line of medicine won't be affected much by the recession. So just to compromise I opted to take Medical Billing course so then I could still use my accounting expertise while still in the line of medicine. Perfect compromise!

Dance Workout

I used to do Zumba in the gym every Saturday till the class stopped being offered. If not for Zumba I would not step foot in the gym actually. It sort of triggered my desire to work out. But since the class is out, I've gained a pretty good deal of weight which I'd probably have a hard time getting rid of unless I start doing something about it now. I bought this dance cardio dvd a couple of months ago and finally over the weekend I got the chance to use it. It was a 60 minute work out and it really made me sweat. I'm pretty disgusted about the bulges I've grown that I was bent on using adapexin-p already, but I guess there's still hope for some weight loss now that I'm into dance workout again.

Makeover Mode

While playing with my son today, I was also in between chores finishing laundry and cooking on the side. I have to multi-task to get some things done too. I was also browsing through magazines and admiring Franke sinks so my imagination kicked in and pictured how our bathrooms would look with new vanities. Our house is almost 17 years old and it is screaming makeover. I see a lot of things that need to be updated. This is also the effect of watching too much Design to Sell program on HGTV, ha ha. Imagine with only $2000 investment you can totally increase the value of your home with few changes here and there. I can't wait to start.

Playing with Son

I wish I could change my habit of staying up so late to study. But I don't have the luxury of choices since that's pretty much the time when I get peace and quiet. Nobody bothers me since my son is in bed snoozing away. I could have read my materials during the day today, but since I want to stick by my rule of only 2 hours TV time for my son, I spent time playing with him when he's not busy watching his shows. He loves interaction so he loves involving me in his play. He folded several pieces of papers that he pretended to be maps, and he led a journey in search of a buried treasure. It's exhausting but rewarding to see how imaginative my son could be. Then he wanted to learn how to make paper airplanes so I showed it to him step by step. We made several airplanes which he threw and flew forever in the family room. He's got tons of toys to play with but for the past days he would much rather play with papers, paints and play doh.

Spring Home Projects

I have a lot of home projects lined up in the spring time. One is to change the paint in my son's room and another is to move furniture in all the bedrooms for some change. I'm the kind of person who hates monotony so I usually move and switch furniture for fresh looks. Another project that keeps bugging me is to makeover our study room/home office. I want to rearrange and move the furniture and possibly replace some of them with modern office furniture.

Since my hb works from home at most times, the study room practically became his own office. He's got his own office telephone line and separate modem. He's also on telephone conference usually so he's locked up in the room for privacy. I actually have a craft table in one corner of the study room that I seldom touch if not at all. Now I am planning to move that craft table in another room so I can really make use of it and also for my hb to have peace and quiet when he works.

So Many Books So Little Time

Ahhh, I'm on cramming zone. I've got tons of materials to read and really pressed for time. I'm taking online courses and I should finish on or before April 24th. I know I accomplish a lot when I cram, my brain usually works well when time is running out. But that was when I was still single and didn't care for anyone else but myself. Now I've got my own family and household to run so I can only study after I put my little son to bed. And by that time I'm pretty much exhausted too. I just hope with fingers and toes crossed that I'd be able to beat the deadline. I can do this!
